Haines City, FL Technology Research Consultants, Inc. (TRC) has been awarded an Interim Statement of Airworthiness Qualification (ISAQ) for the Mode Select Panel Flex Assembly by the U.S. Department of the Army Airworthiness and Engineering Directorate in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. The ISAQ demonstrates TRC’s exceptional commitment and ability to continually provide critically required Modernization, Technology Insertion, and Obsolescence Mitigation solutions for our nation’s men and women in uniform. The ISAQ states that “The TRC Mode Select Panel Flex Assembly replaces the current UH-60 Mode Select Panel Flex Assembly and is compatible with all combinations of current Mode Select Panels.” The integration of the Mode Select Panel Flex Assembly into the U.S. Army’s fleet of UH-60A/L and HH-60 A/L Blackhawk Helicopters will enhance and improve the overall operation of the Blackhawk helicopter.

“TRC’s seasoned engineering and management team remains dedicated and fully committed to meet the challenges of obsolescence by modernizing critically needed flight essential avionic instrumentation to aid our nation’s men and women in uniform,” said January Dennison, CEO and President of TRC.

Extensive first article testing included environmental, vibration, electromagnetic interference and flight tests on UH-60L, UH 60HH and UH-60A Black Hawk helicopters. Qualification and testing involved the collaboration of the following agencies: US Army Redstone Technical Test Center (RTTC); US Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM); US Army Black Hawk Program Office, US Army Communications-Electronics Life Cycle Management Command (CECOM) and AMCOM Airworthiness Engineering Directorate (AED). Tobyhanna Army Depot, Lakehurst Naval Air-Base, and Air Training Test Center (ATTC) personnel provided avionic test engineers throughout the final phase of the critical qualification. Key to the success of this program was the extensive subject matter expertise provided by the Defense Contract Management Agency.
