message of Courage to Polk Community College Graduates

Lakeland, FL January Dennison,
President and CEO of Technology Research Consultants, Inc.
(TRC) concluded the end of the 2006 Spring Semester for
Polk Community College (PCC) graduates by delivering the
Commencement address to over 200 students. The Commencement
Ceremony was held in Branscomb Auditorium at Florida Southern
College in Lakeland on Saturday, December 15.
Dr. Eileen Holden, President of PCC, conferred the degrees
to the graduates which included one of Mrs. Dennison’s
employees, Jose Magnana, who graduated with honors and received
an Associates of Science Degree in Computer Technology.
Mrs. Dennison, an advocate for education,
has gained a solid reputation for her commitment to education
to include a full educational benefits package to each of
her eighty (80) employees. Additionally, she has established
the TRC Scholars Program for children of TRC employees and
has recently awarded a $2500 Engineering Scholarship to
a Haines City High School student.
In her commencement speech, Mrs. Dennison spoke to the graduating
class regarding courage. She championed the outstanding
works of the graduates. “As graduates you are now
prepared, empowered, to become our Nation’s change
agents. As Americans, it is indeed our responsibility to
perpetuate a free nation and a strong framework for future
generations” she said. Additionally, Mrs. Dennison
challenged each graduate to make their careers more fascinating
through their contributions and our communities safer through
their courage.
