names January Dennison 2006 Dream Village Humanitarian of the Year TRC President

Haines City, FL January Dennison
has been singled out by The Sunshine Foundation, a non-profit,
wish granting organization for critically, terminally, and
abused children, as the 2006 Dream Village Humanitarian
of the Year for her outstanding commitment, dedication and
contributions to the organization and the community. Mrs.
Dennison who founded Technology Research Consultants, Inc.
(TRC) in 1998, an avionic engineering firm, transitioned
her company from Huntsville, AL to Haines City, FL in 2003.
Mrs. Dennison is the first recipient
to receive the prestigious Sunshine Foundation Dream Village
Humanitarian of the Year Award. The Award was created to
recognize the philanthropic efforts and contributions of
community leaders was given to Mrs. Dennison at the Sunshine
Foundation Gala and the Haines City Chamber Business After
Hours event by Bill Sample, founder of the thirty (30) year-old
dream granting organization. Mr. Sample said "The Sunshine
Foundation, with the assistance of committed and dedicated
leaders like Mrs. Dennison has granted over 31,000 dreams
to critically, terminally ill, and abused children since
its inception".
Upon receiving the Award, Mrs. Dennison
commented, "I am deeply honored to represent our community
as the Dream Village Humanitarian of the Year and thank
the Sunshine Foundation for this exciting opportunity to
highlight our firm, our employees and our community." "TRC
proudly recognizes and thanks the Warfighters for their
contributions to this great nation that allows us the freedom
and opportunity to make a difference throughout our communities."
Headquartered in Haines City, Florida,
TRC provides new technology for the critical needs of the
military. The company manufactures a wide range of avionic
products including gyroscopes for the Blackhawk helicopter,
a mainstay of the American Armed Forces. TRC is noted for
its consistent revenue growth, 100% on-time delivery, and
its good corporate citizenship.
Mrs. Dennison and her dedicated team
of employees have gained a solid reputation for their commitment
to the community. Mrs. Dennison, a Korean linguist, volunteers
to interpret for families at the Sunshine Foundation and
has also underwritten leadership and employment positions
at the Foundation. Additionally, TRC has adopted the Windmill
Cottage located at the Dream Village to host families during
their dream vacation in Florida. Furthermore, Mrs. Dennison's
team of employees and Ambassadors volunteer at the Sunshine
Foundation Golf tournaments, the Annual Make a Difference
Day, and other fundraising events to assist and support
the Sunshine Foundation.
Mrs. Dennison has implemented and established
the TRC Foundation which annually funds $100,000 for local
non-profit agencies to ensure education opportunities, engineering
scholarships for underprivileged youth, and to non-profit
charities like the Sunshine Foundation.
As a seasoned Hispanic businesswoman,
Mrs. Dennison attributes her success in business to hard
work and a solid commitment to innovation, quality and corporate
integrity. Mrs. Dennison's actions and unwavering commitment
to her community make her the embodiment of the ideals of
the Sunshine Foundation's 2006 Dream Village Humanitarian
of the Year Award.
